Cold weather conditions and high altitude makes breathing difficult for patients of asthma. There is no medication which can act as a preventive for stopping attacks in such conditions. The best way to control attacks in such situations is to take the necessary precautions by ensuring the person is not exposed to the cold, does not undertake strenuous activity and is not exposed to extreme temperatures.
